What Overlap collects
Overlap collects account details such as your email, name, username, timezone, plan, availability, and settings. When people use a scheduling link or poll, we collect the names, email addresses, time choices, notes, and meeting details they submit.
If an account connects Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, Overlap uses the authorized calendar access to check busy times and create scheduling events. Calendar credentials are encrypted at rest. Overlap does not sell personal information.
How information is used
We use information to provide booking links, group polls, calendar coordination, confirmations, reminders, billing, fraud prevention, support, service reliability, and product improvement. Organizers are responsible for having an appropriate reason to provide invitee information to Overlap.
Service providers
Overlap relies on service providers that process information on our behalf: Vercel for application hosting, Supabase for database/authentication/storage, Stripe for subscription billing, Resend for transactional email, and GitHub for encrypted disaster-recovery backups. Google and Microsoft process data when their optional calendar connections are used.
Retention and deletion
Account and scheduling records remain while needed to provide the service or until the account owner deletes them. Account owners can export their data and permanently delete their account from the dashboard. Live account data is removed when deletion completes; encrypted recovery copies expire within 30 days. Billing providers may retain transaction records where legally required.
Security
Overlap uses encrypted transport, access controls, row-level database security, encrypted calendar tokens, rate limiting, encrypted independent backups, and routine restore testing. No online system can promise absolute security. Please report a suspected issue to support@meetoverlap.com.
Children and schools
Overlap is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. School use should be managed by adult administrators, educators, PTA members, or parents. Do not use Overlap to intentionally collect children's personal information without the permissions and agreements required by your organization and applicable law.
Your choices
You can disconnect calendars, edit scheduling settings, export account data, or delete your account. Guests and poll participants may ask the organizer who collected their information, or contact Overlap for help with an access or deletion request.
